We looked forward to our new season after second lockdown in the Middlesex FA North West London Mental Health League each month at Uxbridge sports pitches. Our second league game took place on Friday 11th December 2020, in which 21 people attended and enjoyed competing against other mental health teams.
We received funding from the Kensington & Chelsea Foundation, which enables us to hire a Minibus from Westway CT but with COVID-19 we had to Socially distance only a certain amount of our players could go via the van and others would make their own way, we were keeping safe and sticking to government guidelines. (Even thou we are a support bubble)
We played very well as a whole unit all 3 teams! Our TRI borough played great even thou they were down a couple of their original players but had a few new members who had skills to help us, our Red team North Kensington 4 games 4 wins!! Lost count of the goals. Training really helped us as a team, but our Purple team St Charles played amazing they really showed all teams about great teamwork and a few players got Hattricks.
We enjoyed a lovely hot meal from Bay20 in Kensington for our social outing after the matches singing 12 days of Christmas which made the players laugh a lot.
Our next match is on Friday 12th Feb hopefully COVID will not get in the way - We grow and learn everyday as a team.
